Next batch of PPTS-1.8 satellite terminals delivered to the 3rd Regional Logistics Base

WZŁ1 S.A. is consistently implementing the second stage of the agreement concluded in 2024 with the 3rd Regional Logistics Base in Cracow. On 24the July 2025, the first 5 upgraded PPTS-1.8 terminals were delivered. According to the agreed schedule, next 5 terminals will be delivered in four weeks.

The agreement concerns the modernisation of 40 PPTS-1.8 v.1 and v.2 terminals. The project’s completion is planned for 2026. The scope of works includes not only the replacement of worn-out components, but also a significant upgrade of the terminals using components which will increase their functionality, mobility, and safety. Another integral part of the modernisation process is a specialised training for end users, which will ensure immediate operational readiness of the equipment after receipt.

From 22nd to 25th July 2025 approximately 15 soldiers took part in a specialised training covering the operation of the new terminal models and upgraded SSPA amplifiers. The training was conducted by employees of the Service Department of WZŁ1 S.A. and provided the participants with practical knowledge and skills necessary to effectively use the new equipment.

PPTS-1.8 terminals have been an important part of the military satellite communications system for years. Their flexibility, mobility, and possibility of quick deployment under various operating conditions make them an indispensable command support tool, both in Poland and abroad. WZŁ1 has been engaged in the development of this technology for nearly 16 years, providing solutions for the, Polish military contingents in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kosovo, and Lithuania, among others.

The subsequent stages of the project and gained experience confirm the usefulness of the terminals’ modernisation which will ensure their optimal use in the modern battlefield communications system.
