Summary of the year at WZŁ-1 S.A.
For our company the year 2025 was a period of intense work and numerous significant achievements. We signed important contracts and cooperated with Polish and foreign partners in executing contracts and projects, combining experience and knowledge to come up with modern solutions. We participated in industry events that promoted knowledge exchange and relationship building in the defence sector.
CONCLUDED CONTRACTS
• WZŁ-1 S.A. becomes a beneficiary of a subsidy granted by the Ministry of National Defence
On 5th May 2025, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz presented companies with contracts for the execution of tasks for the Polish Armed Forces in 2025. WZŁ-1 S.A. was among over 80 companies which were granted a subsidy, based on the 2022 Polish Homeland Defence Act. Its purpose is to ensure stability and readiness of companies which perform key tasks in providing the country's security. The funding seves to maintain necessary production, repair and service capacities so that the Polish army can be efficiently supported at any time. The funds are not assigned to specific orders, but ensure the readiness to fulfil them. In 2025, the Ministry of National Defence allocated PLN 350 million for this purpose and next year later this amount will be increased to PLN 500 million. The allocation of funds was based on an analysis of applications submitted by companies and reports on the use of last year's subsidies approved by the minister. Apart from WZŁ-1 S.A., the beneficiaries of targeted subsidies were the Stalowa Wola steelworks, arms factory Łucznik, ammunition manufacturers MESKO and Dezamet, as well as the Rosomak, Jelcz and Bumar Łabędy plants.
• Contract for the delivery of the ground segment for the SAR satellite earth observation system - MikroSAR
In May 2025, the consortium of ICEYE Polska Sp. z o.o. and our company signed a contract with the Ministry of National Defence for the delivery of a SAR satellite earth observation system – MikroSAR to the Polish Armed Forces. ICEYE as the leader of the consortium is responsible for the delivery of the space segment (3 satellites). WZŁ-1 S.A. as a member of the consortium will deliver the ground segment together with a satellite antenna on a trailer. The contract also includes an option to purchase three more satellites and a mobile ground segment. In December, the ordering party confirmed a part of the deliveries as an optional order. The solution developed by WZŁ-1 S.A. integrates communication and data transmission systems, security and feed systems and a dedicated antenna system, which ensures fast and effective distribution of information to the recipients at every level of command. All components will be assembled in a specially equipped container designed for transport.
- PGZ-NAREW contract
On the first day of the MSPO 2025 International Defence Industry Exhibition, a contract was signed between the PGZ-NAREW Consortium and the Armament Agency for the supply of passive location radars for the short-range air and missile defence system. The Consortium consists of PGZ S.A. (leader), PIT-RADWAR S.A., Jelcz Sp. z o.o., WZE S.A., OBR CTM S.A. and WZŁ-1 S.A., which will be involved in the execution of successive contracts. This project is of great importance for the national defence system and our participation confirms high competence of WZŁ-1 S.A. in the area of modern ICT technologies.
- Contract for the delivery of MCC Mobile Communication Centers in the second phase of the WISŁA Programme
In September 2025, WZŁ-1 S.A. and the State Treasury represented by the Armament Agency signed a contract with for the delivery of 56 Mobile Communication Centers (MCC) in the second phase of the WISŁA Programme. The contract provides for the delivery of equipment in the years 2027-2030, together with a logistics package and a training package. The value of the contract is over PLN 2 billion, making it one of the largest in the company's history. Its execution will be significant not only for the Polish Armed Forces, but also for WZŁ-1 S.A. itself. It is a project that involves serial production of military equipment and development of technology and technical facilities, increase in workforce and closer cooperation with business partners.
EXECUTED CONTRACTS
- TCC
The company is executing a contract for the delivery of TCCs, concluded in September 2022 during the MSPO exhibition. In 2025, the company delivered transmission communication centers within the first and second stage of the contract’s execution. The delivery was preceded by functional tests, which were completed successfully. Also, WZŁ-1 S.A. opened a training room at the Communications and Information Technology Training Centre in Zegrze.
- MCC
In 2025, according to the contract execution schedule, WZŁ-1 S.A. conducted functional tests in the presence of the Armament Agency and Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) to confirm the functionality of the Mobile Communication Centers. The MCCs passed the tests with positive results. Throughout the year, integration of ICT in the products was performed and documentation required for their acceptance was prepared. At the end of 2025, the company delivered 4 MCCs to the Polish Armed Forces.
- Execution of the F-OPS contract
In September, during the MSPO exhibition in Kielce, WZŁ-1 S.A. presented its product – Future Operations IBCS EO - F-OPS, which attracted a lot of interest. One of the visitors was the Prime Minister Donald Tusk who was presented with the capabilities of this modern, mobile unit designed for planning operations within an integrated air and missile defence system.
- PPTS
In 2025, as in the year before, acceptance procedures of Portable-Mobile Satellite Terminals (PPTS) after modifications were performed. The modifications consisted mainly of state-of-the-art modem solutions and transmission path elements. Thanks to them, WZŁ-1 S.A.’s terminals are fully compatible with other currently used devices, creating a single satellite transmission system of the Polish Armed Forces. The modifications significantly increased the capabilities of the terminals, their ease of use and reliability. The works were performed based on a contract for the modification of PPTS-1.8 and PPTS-1.8 v.2 satellite terminals concluded on 1st August 2024 with the 3rd Regional Logistics Base in Cracow.
- Contract for the delivery of 40 Tactical Routers (TRR-8)
In December, WZŁ-1 S.A. delivered the last batch of Tactical Radio Routers. With this, the contract with the Cyberspace Resources Center of the Armed Forces, signed at the end of January 2025, was completed. 28 devices were delivered under a guaranteed order and 12 under an optional order. The TRR-8 is a military-grade device which constitutes one of the cutting-edge elements of the Polish Armed Forces' communication systems. It acts as an IPv4/IPv6 network integrator, connecting various technologies and ensuring communication between different platforms and devices (e.g. satellite terminals, WiFi networks, 4G/5G operator networks, electrical and optical Ethernet networks).
INDUSTRY EVENTS
1st Polish Defence Industry Forum – held on 5th March 2025 by Polish Armament Group. Key representatives of the defence industry, entrepreneurs and institutions related to the broadly understood defence and civil industries gathered at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. The forum aimed to strengthen cooperation between the civil sector, which seeks to strengthen the potential of the defence industry, and companies belonging to the Polish Armament Group.
Engineering Job Fair at the Warsaw University of Technology - as every year, representatives of WZŁ-1 S.A. from the Human Resources Department took part in one of the most important events for students and graduates of technical universities - the Engineering Job Fair at the Warsaw University of Technology on 11-12 March 2025. In total, eighty-six companies, including WZŁ-1 S.A., presented themselves at the Engineering Job Fair. WZŁ-1 S.A. was able to increase the recognition among students of the best technical university Poland, according to numerous rankings. Representatives of WZŁ-1 S.A. had the opportunity to present the company and its offer, and to talk to young people who are just starting their professional career.
Talent Days - WZŁ-1 S.A. is a company with a 70-year tradition, whose high-quality products are highly appreciated by military and civilian institutions. It was proven also on 1st April at the Talent Days job fair at the PGE National Stadium. The fair is considered to be the most important event that connects young people with leading employers in Poland. It is aimed at students, graduates and young professionals looking for career opportunities. It is also an ideal place for those who want to learn about the job market and employers' expectations. During the event, the representatives of WZŁ-1 demonstrated the company’s offer to engineers and candidates from branches such as administration, logistics, finance and management. As a result, the company reached candidates for ongoing recruitment projects.
Job Fair at the Military University of Technology – On 10th April 2025 WZŁ-1 S.A. and over 60 other companies participated in the job fair, which is one of major events for students and graduates of the Military University of Technology. Once again, WZŁ-1 S.A. presented its current job offers and offered insight into its working environment. Students of the Military University of Technology were mainly interested in the company’s internship offer. The main goal of the job fair was to present the opportunities on the current job market, recruitment plans of companies on the market, employers’ expectations and the specifics of working in a different companies.
Defence24 Days – On 6–7th May 2025, representatives of WZŁ-1 S.A. took part in one of major events in the Polish defence sector at the PGE Natonal Stadium in Warsaw. During the seventh edition of the event, issues related to the modernisation of the Polish armed forces, the development of the 5G network and challenges associated with the integration of modern communication and information systems into defence structures were discussed.
MSPO – during this year's International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, WZŁ-1 S.A. presented its products and solutions, including projects implemented for the WISŁA and NAREW programmes. At our stand in the hall, together with ICEYE, the company presented the concept of the ISR Mobile Satellite Reconnaissance Platform, adapted to the requirements of the modern battlefield in terms of ICT, safety of use and data transmission. Also on display was the OPL/IBCS shelter - an element of the air and missile defence management system, and the PPTS Transportable Satellite Terminal, a modified terminal designed to provide multi-band communication at the operational and tactical level. Another exhibit was the Tactical Radio Router 8. TRR8 is a compact device that enables flexible creation of tactical communication networks. At the outdoor exhibition, we presented the Mobile Communication Center (MCC) – an innovative, universal solution for building field ICT networks. It is equipped with the American IBCS system, created for the needs of the WISŁA programme. During MSPO 2023 in Kielce, the product received the Defender award, which confirms its uniqueness and innovative technical design.
Land Forces Command Battalion Day – On 3rd October, representatives of WZŁ-1 S.A. took part in an event highlighting the role of command in military operations. The company’s participation demonstrated that WZŁ-1 S.A. is an indispensable partner in ensuring efficient and reliable communication on the battlefield.
The ARMY – SCIENCE – INDUSTRY conference was a two-day even held by the Command and Control Directorate – P6 of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces on 15–16th October 2025 at the Communications and Information Technology Training Centre in Zegrze Północne. It was combined with the celebrations of the Communications Forces Day on 17th October 2025 and consisted of a series of panel discussions on topics related to communication, as well as a ceremony of awarding decorations and distinctions. WZŁ-1 S.A. was honoured for its effective cooperation with the Polish Armed Forces in the field of military technology.
Communications Forces Day – On 18th October 2025 WZŁ-1 S.A. participated in a picnic in Serock, where it presented its own exhibition and information materials. It was an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties with soldiers and experts and demonstrate the role of WZŁ-1 S.A. as a technical partner supporting the development of communications infrastructure and IT systems.
The 1st National Congress Science for Business took place on 19-21th November 2025 in Warsaw and became the largest platform in Poland connecting the academic community with industry. The honorary patronage of the Prime Minister and the participation of the Marshals of the Sejm and Senate emphasised the importance of the event. In the exhibition area of the Polish Armaments Group, discussion presented, among other things, models of the Mobile Communication Center, the Transmission Communication Center and the TRR-8 Tactical Radio Router. The exhibition provided an opportunity to demonstrate the practical application of dual-use technology and the integration of modern systems in real operational scenarios.
The educational exhibition Vigilance from the Orbit at the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw was prepared by ICEYE in cooperation with the Polish Space Agency and the Polish Armaments Group, under the patronage of the Minister of National Defence. It showed the history of Earth observation and the use of satellite data in military and civilian projects. On 14th-23rd November 2025, WZŁ-1 S.A. presented a model of the ground segment with a mobile antenna, delivered as part of the MikroSAR programme. The ground segment enables the reception and distribution of data from satellites, as well as its analysis and transmission to relevant operational units.
