The first batch of Tactical Radio Routers (TRR-8) has been delivered to the Polish Armed Forces
Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności Nr 1 S.A. has delivered 20 TRR-8c Tactical Radio Routers (civilian version) to the Polish Armed Forces. These 20 units are part of a larger order of 40 Tactical Radio Routers (20 units of TRR-8c and 20 units of TRR-8m 5G/W) in total. It is an important step in the execution of the contract with the Cyberspace Resources Centre of the Polish Armed Forces, which aims to modernise communication systems and increase the level of cybersecurity in Poland's defence structure.
The TRR-8 routers are devices designed and manufactured in Poland. They are a key element of the communication infrastructure of the Polish Armed Forces. The devices have been developed to ensure secure, reliable and fast communication under field and conditions and on-site. Another 20 TRR-8m 5G/W units (military version) will be delivered later this year, which means that the execution of the contract will have been completed by the end of 2025. Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności Nr 1 S.A. is responsible for the delivery of the devices and also for their integration, and for technical support, thanks to which the full potential of the TRR-8 systems can be used in the military environment.
TECHNOLOGY THAT CONNECTS
The TRR-8 is an advanced device that combines the functions of a router, network integrator and traffic monitoring system. It enables cooperation between different technologies – satellite, radio, 4G/5G, WiFi and Ethernet – ensuring uninterrupted communication regardless of conditions. The device automatically configures itself in Zero Config mode, which allows for quick deployment without the need for an operator’s intervention.
The router is equipped with advanced AES256 and multi-level encryption mechanisms, which guarantees the highest level of security of transmitted data. In addition, the TRR-8 supports network traffic monitoring and analysis, incident detection and event logging, which strengthens cybersecurity.
POLISH IDEA, POLISH IMPLEMENTATION
The concept of building our own network devices was born several years ago in a team of engineers at Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności Nr 1. It was the result of the work of a group of enthusiasts who decided to create a solution based entirely on Polish technology. The project was financed from the Company's own funds, and the resulting solution was fully adapted to the needs of the Polish Armed Forces. The device is fully controlled, with no components dependent on foreign suppliers, which is crucial for the country’s security.
