The Terrain Intervention Command Vehicle For Military Police TIWD

The Terrain Intervention Command Vehicle for Military Police - TIWD is one of the elements of command system of the Military Police Special Units and has been designed to:

  • provide workplaces for the Command of the Military Police Special Unit;
  • control Military Police units and subunits;
  • ensure informatic support for command process;
  • carry out actions within the framework of combat group and independent combat patrols. Communication and informatic facilities included in the equipment are intended to provide phonic communication, data transmissions and internal communications of the command vehicle.

These facilities enable:

  • Operation in radio communication system of the Military Police (HF radio);
  • Operation in the integrated radio communication system within the tactical operation area (UHF radio);
  • Operation in radiotelephone system of the Military Police (UHF radiotelephone);
  • control of teleinformation system of Command Vehicle, internal communication and environment of Command Vehicle (internal communication system).

 

TIWD is fitted for operating on-the-move and on standby, in temperate cold climate. It provides suitable work conditions for the crew and equipment within the temperature range of -30°C to +50°C.
